After a heatwave, the other extreme - waterlogging. Following weeks of sweltering heat, the residents of Hyderabad experienced some relief in the form of rainfall. However, the relief quickly turned into agony of a different kind.

Many low-lying areas of Telangana's capital city were inundated following heavy rain. The situation was so bad in some areas, that some people were seen using rubber boats to evade the inundated spots.

Water-logging was reported from Malkajgiri, Kala Pathar and Yakutpura, while trees were uprooted in Nallakunta. A road near the Yadadri temple also caved in, causing traffic snarls and inconveniencing pilgrims headed to the place of worship.
