A video of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Janardan Mishra which shows the leader cleaning toilets with bare hands in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa has gone viral.
The MP himself had shared the video on September 22, saying that the exercise was carried out as part of a cleanliness drive being run by state unit's BJP Yuva Morcha.
In his tweet the minister stated that the party has been running tree plantation and cleanliness drive in the state, while referring to his recent activity at the Khatkhari Girls School.
The unhygienic condition of a toilet at the girls' school reportedly prompted the Rewa MP to clean the toilet himself.
'Seva Pakhwada' cleanliness drive kicked off in the state on September 17, which is Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, and will continue till Mahatma Gandhi's birthday i.e. October 2.
