A mishap was averted at a metro station in Delhi after a passenger fell onto the rail tracks.
In CCTV footage from Shahdara metro station, a man is seen walking on the platform, apparently looking at his phone. Suddenly, he falls onto the tracks.

On the opposite platform, CISF personnel witness what happened. Then one of the CISF soldiers is seen lowering himself onto the tracks. He rushes towards the fallen man, and helps him get up. Then, he hoists the man onto the platform, before climbing up himself.
Thankfully, no train was seen arriving or departing when the incident occurred on February 4.
The passenger has reportedly been identified as Shailendra Mehta, while the CISF personnel who saved him was Rohtas.
Some metro stations in Delhi have automatic doors which open only when trains have arrived at the platform, thus making the tracks inaccessible at other times. However, they are yet to be installed at all stations.
