On cam: woman falls into manhole while talking on the phone in Bihar's Patna

In a scary video going viral on social media, a woman was seen falling into a manhole. Social media users claimed that the incident occurred in Bihar's capital city Patna.

CCTV visuals showed the woman walking behind a vehicle. She was talking on her phone, and didn't notice the gaping hole in the street.

As soon as she fell, people present at the spot rushed to her rescue. Around a dozen people were seen pulling her out of the manhole.

Finally, after around 16 harrowing seconds, she was finally extracted from the hole. CCTV visuals showed her being able to stand, but she was taken to a nearby hospital.

News reports said that she was fine, but the incident has highlighted the threat of open manholes in the country.
