Stampede at temple in Rajasthan: at least 3 dead in Khatu Shyam Mandir incident in Sikar

In a distressing incident, a stampede broke out at a temple in Rajasthan on 8 August.
The incident occurred at Khatu Shyam temple in Sikar early in the morning.

At least three people died, while several were injured in the chaos. Some injured people were referred to Jaipur for treatment.

The stampede occurred at the entrance of the temple around 5 am, as per reports.

In May 2022, a stampede broke out at a religious event in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district. Over 15 attendees had been injured during chaos when 'prasad' or offerings were being distributed.

In April, a fight at a temple in Chhattisgarh's Surajpur had turned into a stampede. A 22-year-old man had died in the rush.
