Suicide at Union govt building in Delhi? Scientist working with IT ministry found dead at Shastri Bhawan

An alleged suicide occurred at a Union government building in Delhi on May 23. A scientist working with the Information and Technology Ministry was found dead at Shastri Bhawan.

55-year-old Rakesh Mallik's body was found in front of gate number 2 of Shastri Bhawan which houses offices of many Union government ministries. The deceased is believed to have jumped from the seventh floor of the building.

A team of police personnel from the Parliament street police station reached the spot after getting information about the incident. Police said further inquiry is underway.
