Uttar Pradesh police on 2 February 2023 said that a threat call had been received to blow up the under-construction Ram temple in Ayodhya.

A resident of the temple town named Manoj claimed to have received a call in which a person threatened to blow up the Ram Janmabhoomi area around 10 am on 2 February. Police issued an alert to all personnel in the area after Manoj reported the call.

Cops said that a case was registered and efforts were on to identify the caller.

The development came on a day that special rocks reached Ayodhya from Nepal. The rocks will be used to make idols of Hindu deity Ram and his wife Sita for the temple.
