Violence at Hyderabad university | RSS's ABVP, Left's SFI members clash over student union polls: reports

Violence was reported from the University of Hyderabad on 25 February 2023.

Students affiliated with RSS' student wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), and Left's Students' Federation of India (SFI) reportedly clashed at the university. Fighting occurred in relation to the students' union elections, according to the news agency ANI.

ABVP accused SFI members of attacking tribal students affiliated with the right-wing outfit. An India Today report said that clashes broke out over putting up of posters of the elections.

Students' union elections were held at Hyderabad university on 24 February 2023 after a gap of 2 years due to Covid.
