A 22-year-old man was killed when a water tanker ran over him after he fell from his two-wheeler in Maharashtra's Thane district.
The accident took place on Agasan road in Diva township on Sunday around 8 when the victim, identified as Ganesh Fale, was on his scooty.
The incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby. The footage showed the victim riding past the tanker when his two-wheeler lost control due to potholes and he fell on the road. The video further showed the tanker halting after passerbys gathered around.
The injured man was rushed to the Kalwa civic hospital where doctors declared him dead, the official said.
Police have sent the body to a government hospital for postmortem.
The Mumbra police have registered a case against the tanker driver and further investigations are on.
Notably, every year Mumbaikars suffer due to potholes and several lives are lost.
