‘Visited gurudwara, changed outfit…’: Punjab Police on Amritpal Singh’s escape

After Amritpal Singh's video crossing a toll plaza reportedly in Punjab's Jalandhar came to light, state's IGP Sukhchain Singh Gill has said that the Brezza car, in which Amritpal Singh fled, has been recovered by the Police adding that Singh was helped by four people.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Gill further said, arms Act has been invoked against four people who helped the Khalistani separatist.

Revealing details of the investigation amid the manhunt, the official said that after fleeing, Singh visited the Gurudwara in Nangal Ambian village (in Jalandhar district) & changed his clothes before fleeing again.

This came to be known in the questioning of the 4 people who have been nabbed.
