A fresh landslide in Uttarakhand was caught on camera. The rockslide on 16 July led to closure of the Badrinath-Rishikesh National Highway near Khankra.

Scary videos of the incident showed a heavy shower of mud, rocks, and trees. The landslide continued for around 30 seconds. A video showed a group of people standing near the spot as the road was rapidly blocked off.

Around a week earlier, multiple landslides had been reported from the hill state amid heavy rain. The rockslides had led to closure of over 70 roads in Uttarakhand.

On 29 June, a woman was killed and 5 other people were injured in a landslide on Kedarnath road. The mishap took place near Sonprayag on the Rudraprayag-Gaurikund National Highway, as per reports.
