Lok Sabha ruckus ensues in front of visiting parliamentary delegation from Zambia | On camera

A parliamentary delegation from Zambia which is visiting India currently was invited to a session of the Lok Sabha on Thursday. 

Speaker Om Birla introduced the delegation which includes the Speaker of Zambia's National Assembly Nelly Mutti and welcomed them on behalf of everyone present in the parliament. The Speaker also wished the delegation a good stay in India. 

After concluding the introductions, Birla threw open the floor of the house for the Question Hour. 

However, members of the Opposition began protesting and raising slogans, demanding a discussion on the Adani-Hindenburg controversy within minutes of Birla's announcement.

Objecting to the noisy scenes, he asked the members not to make unsubstantiated claims and said Question Hour was an important part of Parliamentary proceedings which should not be disrupted.

As MPs continued to protest, within just 3 minutes, the Speaker adjourned the Lower House till 2 PM.
