After prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders were hiked on Wednesday, reports of opposition protests emerged from several states including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
In BJP-ruled MP, opposition Congress, led by former CM Kamal Nath, staged a walkout from the Assembly on the issue of hike in the LPG cylinder price as the state government presented the state budget.
Meanwhile, protests were also reported outside Maharashtra assembly on the issue. Rajasthan Congress too hit out at the Centre over hike in cylinder prices.
The prices of LPG cylinders were hiked by ₹50 for domestic and ₹300 for commercial cylinder.
