Lucknow woman mauled to death by son's pet pitbull

An octegenarian woman was mauled by the pet dog of her son in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow when she was alone in her house in Kaisergunj locality.

The incident took place on July 13, when Sushila Tripathi's son Amit who is a gym trainer wasn't in the house. 

Reports said the 82-year-old retired teacher's son owned two pet dogs - a pitbull and a labrador. The pitubull named Brownie was brought home three years ago. 

According to the neighbours they heard dogs barking and Sushila crying out for help when she was attacked.

The neighbours rushed to house of Tripathi's but it was locked from the inside. When Amit reached the house, he opened the door and found the Sushila severely injured. She was rushed to a hospital but couldn't survive.

As per the post-mortem report, a total of 12 severe wounds from neck to abdomen were found on Sushila's body.
