At least 4 Indian lawmakers jumped off the third floor of a legislative building in India's third largest state, Maharashtra. The lawmakers belong to the decades old Nationalist Congress Party. While no injuries have been reported, the lawmakers' freefall from the third floor was broken by the safety nets in the legislative complex. Videos showed police and other officials trying to pull the politicians back to safety. The group of tribal leaders were reportedly protesting against reservations being given to minority community in Maharashtra.
