A massive billboard crashed during an unusual dust storm in Mumbai's Ghatkopar on Monday afternoon trapping 100 people under it, NDTV reported

As per the news outlet, more than 59 were rescued from the site, while efforts are being made to save the rest. 

Mumbai witnessed a never seen before dust storm, gusty winds and rain crippling air, road and other mode of transport.

In a social media post on X, Youth Congress National President Srinivas BV shared a video of the moment a huge billboard crashed on people. 

In another incident, an autorickshaw driver was critically injured after a coconut tree fell on the vehicle due to gusty winds amid rains in Mumbai on Monday afternoon. 

Meanwhile, flight operations at Mumbai airport remained suspended for more than one hour due to inclement weather and dust storms.

Resulting in as many as 15 flights getting diverted to different airports

Operations later resumed at 5.03 pm, the airport operator said in the statement.
