Man orders iPhone, receives soap bars instead in Thane

A man from Thane, Maharashtra ordered iPhone online for 46,000 rupees. But when he got the package on November 9, instead of the phone, there were three soap bars inside the package. 

An official from Bhayander police station talked about this incident and said that the victim was cheated by someone who tampered with the parcel enroute for delivery. 

Police further reported that when the 25-year-old man who placed the order for iPhone opened his parcel, he found dishwashing soaps inside Soon after this, the man, who works at a photocopy shop filed a police complaint.

On Saturday, November 11, police registered an offence against the unidentified culprit under Indian Penal Code section 420 (cheating). Currently, this matter is being investigated.
