A 21-member multi-party delegation of the INDIA alliance will meet the Manipur governor today, according to reports.
The team is on a two-day visit to the violence-hit state and visited relief camps housing displaced people to take stock of the situation.
According to official figures, at least 150 people have been killed and nearly 50,000 displaced in ethnic violence in Manipur since May 3.
Meanwhile, leaders of the ruling BJP have called the visit a mere show-off and political tourism.
