Elections to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, spanning 250 wards began at 8 AM today.
More than 1.46 crore residents in 250 wards are eligible to vote in the civic polls, which are widely regarded as a three-way race between the BJP, the AAP, and the Congress.
Around 40,000 police personnel, 20,000 home guards, as well as 108 companies of paramilitary and state armed police forces, are deployed to ensure smooth conduct of elections.
Counting will take place on December 7.
