An 11-year-old girl was found covered in blood and with bite marks all over her body near in a forest area in Madhya Pradesh on July 28.
Her body was found close to the temple of Goddess Sharda in Maihar town. According to the police, the girl was gang-raped and two people have been arrested.
The police said that one of the accused works at a cow shelter run by the temple committee
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered the police to take strict action against the accused and make sure the survivor, who is in a serious condition, gets the best medical treatment.
