Minute of silence for Turkey earthquake victims at G20 foreign ministers' meet

The G20 foreign ministers' meeting commenced in New Delhi on March 2 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's opening remarks.

A minute of silence was also observed before the proceedings began to pay tributes to the victims of the Turkey earthquake.

The Russia-Ukraine war is likely to be the predominant theme during the talks.

Notably, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, China's Qin Gang are among those attending the meeting chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
