Amid continuing suspense over the special Parliament session called by the Narendra Modi government, reports suggest that a big move has been taken regarding the BJP's campaign to implement a simultaneous election system in India.
The Modi administration has set up a committee to look into the merits of the 'One Nation, One Election' idea, as per the news agency PTI. The committee is headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind.
Parliament is set to convene for a special session from September 18 to 22, but the agenda is unclear.
