MP: 12-year-old boy thrashed, stripped and asked to chant religious slogans in Indore

A day after a viral video in which a boy from minority community was thrashed, the Madhya Pradesh police swung into action and arrested three accused, all minors, as per NDTV.

The purportedly video showed 3 minors beating and stripping a 12-years-old Muslim child. The boy was allegedly asked to chant religious slogans as well as slogans like "Hindustan Zindabad" and "Pakistan Murdabad", the report added. 

The trio arrested in the case are all aged between 13 to 15. 

Quoting the official NDTV reported that the victim and the accused used to live in the same locality and were neighbors. Police further added that the victim who had shifted to another locality was lured by the other boys by telling him they would give him toys. The accused took him to a secluded area around the locality and thrashed him.

FIR under IPC section 323 (causing hurt) 294 (obscene act in public places and 365 (kidnapping and wrongful confinement), was requested based on the victim's parents' complaint.

The three accused have been granted bail from the police station after their parents gave surety for the bail and assured their presence in the juvenile court later.
