A video of rats nibbling food in the pantry car of Mumbai-Madgaon Express has left internet users disgusted. In the viral video, it can be seen that rats were hopping from one food bowl to another and were enjoying their meal. However, this raised safety concerns and several people questioned IRCTC for their hygiene.
IRCTC responded to it and blamed it on Central Railway and said that the train was parked at the railway yard at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Kurla, which is infested with rats.
Centra Railway's chief public relations officer Shivraj Manaspure responded to this by saying that the rodent measures are regularly taken in coaches and also at the railway yard.
Social media users also reacted to this video and said that this is irresponsible behaviour. Others reacted by saying that this is absolutely disgusting.
