A 25-year-old Muslim man was lynched by a mob in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur after his bike hit a man celebrating Dussehra.
According to Indian Express, the victim, Irshad Mohammad, was passing through the Ramlila ground on the outskirts of Luhari village when the incident occurred.
The verbal row over the minor accident turned violent as a group of people beat Mohammad who fell to the ground and hit his head on a stone.
Police said five accused have been identified and will be arrested soon.
Following Mohammad’s death, his family members and locals rushed to the spot where both groups attacked each other. Police used mild force to disperse the crowd.
