In his latest message on religion in India, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat recently said that Muslims must "abandon their boisterous rhetoric of supremacy".

The RSS Sarsanghchalak added that there is no threat to Islam in India, or to Muslims either practicing their faith, or seeking a return to the faith of their ancestors.

The comments were made in an interview to RSS-affiliated publications Organiser and Panchjanya, according to a Hindustan Times report.

Bhagwat recently visited a madrassa and met representatives of the Muslim community.
