Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that the central government accepted his "suggestion" to roll out booster doses of Covid-19 vaccines in the country.
Taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi said, "The central government has accepted my suggestion of a booster dose - this is a right step. The safety of vaccines and boosters will have to reach the people of the country."

On Saturday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that "precautionary doses", or booster doses of Covid-19 vaccine, would be administered to healthcare and frontline workers and people above 60 years of age with co-morbidities from January 10.
In a tweet on December 22, Rahul Gandhi had demanded the rollout of booster doses in the country.
