JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar on Wednesday took oath as Bihar chief minister for the record eight time in a ceremony at Raj Bhawan in Patna.
RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav was administered the oath of office as deputy chief minister.

The no-frills ceremony comes a day after Kumar snapped ties with the BJP-led NDA and joined hands with the RJD to form a ‘Mahagathbandhan’ government.
Meanwhile senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi claimed that the new government will fall before completing its term in 2025. Modi, who has known Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad for five decades, also said that the JD(U) supremo insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of Bihar who had voted for the NDA.
