No Indians are reported to be trapped in the deadly Turkey earthquake which has claimed at least 24,000 lives.

According to the Indian ambassador to Turkey Virander Paul, there are around 3,000 Indians present in the country currently and not many of them are in earthquake-affected areas.

Many Indians have also moved out following the deadliest quake in two decades, Paul was quoted as saying by news agency ANI on 11 February.

The MEA on 8 February had said that ten Indians were stuck in remote parts of earthquake-hit Turkey but were reported to be safe and one citizen was missing.
