Congress on January 21 said that the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra will continue despite the twin blasts in Jammu. The explosions took place two days ahead of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's march in the city
Party General Secretary KC Venugopal told news agency ANI that it is the responsibility of authorities to ensure security arrangements, adding that no matter what yatra will continue.
The yatra entered J&K’s Kathua district on January 19 and is scheduled to reach Jammu on January 23.
Two back-to-back IED explosions rocked a busy locality on the outskirts of Jammu on January 21, leaving nine people injured.
The blasts were triggered by suspected terrorists at a time when security agencies in the region are on high alert in the wake of the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra of the Congress and the upcoming Republic Day celebrations.
