Punjabi rapper-singer Sidhu Moose Wala was shot dead in Punjab on May 29. The iconic singer who was brutally murdered is still, however, alive in the hearts of many.

In order to create a living reminder of him on his birth anniversary which falls on June 11, New York's iconic Time Square paid a tribute to him.

People gathered to celebrate the life and music of the slain singer. Huge billboards displayed Moose Wala's pictures, played his songs and fans were seen capturing the moment on their mobile phones while some were seen doing his signature 'hook step'.

Videos of the tribute at the Time Square flooded social media.
