Members of the Opposition staged a walkout as Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rajya Sabha replying on the Motion of Thanks to President's Address on Wednesday.

The Opposition MPs alleged that Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge was not allowed to speak in the House. They frequently disrupted the House as the prime minister spoke, raising slogans like 'LoP ko bolne do' (Let LoP speak)".

As the Opposition MPs walked out, Modi said, "The country is watching that those who spread lies do not have the strength to hear the truth. Those who do not have the courage to face truth, do not have courage to listen to the answers to questions that were raised in these discussions."

"They are insulting the Upper House, the glorious tradition of the Upper House," he added.
