Before the beginning of the Parliament's Budget Session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hit out at the MPs who disrupt the proceedings of the House.

"I will say this that [MPs] who habitually disrupt [Parliament proceedings], exploit democratic values should introspect," said Modi.

Modi also hailed the 'naari shakti' or women power recalling the passage of the women's reservation bill in the last session.  He added that the Budget Session will be held under the guidance of President Droupadi Murmu and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget.
