Amid allegations of India 'plotting to kill' a Sikh separatist on US soil, Union Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar said that the government is probing the allegation 'since the country shared certain inputs.'

He, however, also told Rajya Sabha that since Canada did not provide any input and hence, 'the question of equitable treatment to two countries one of whom has provided inputs and one of whom has not, does not arise',

S Jaishankar was answering CPI (M) MP Dr. John Brittas' question in the Upper House. Brittas had asked about the difference in approach of India towards the allegations of US and Canada who have accused India of plotting and killing Sikh separatists.
