Ahead of his questioning by the Central Bureau Of Investigation today, Delhi Deputy Chief Miniter Manish Sisodia claimed that the case against him was "fake" and linked the development with campaigning in poll-bound Gujarat.
In a serious of tweets, Sisodia said "I was to go to Gujarat for the election campaign in the coming days. Their purpose is to stop me from going to the Gujarat election campaign, "The BJP is scrared because it knows it's losing Gujarat," he added.
"But my going to jail will not stop the Gujarat election campaign," he wrote in a long Twitter thread.
The CBI summoned Kejriwal's deputy for interrogation in the alleged liqour scam case on Sunday. Following which AAP alleged that Sisodia would be arrested by the federal agency.
CBI has so far made two arrests in the case including Vijay Nair and Hyderabad-based businessman. Sisodia is one of the accused in the now-scrapped Delhi liqour policy scam case.
Meanwhile, extending support to his deputy, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal said Sisodia was going to be arrested in a bid to stop him from campaigning in Gujarat.
