Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not taken a single day of leave so far in his tenure of 9 years, the Prime Minister's Office said in a reply to a Right to Information query.

According to multiple media reports, the query filed by a Pune resident asked two questions.

The first question was about the number of days the prime minister has attended office since assuming power. The PMO replied 'The Prime Minister is on duty all the time. No leave has been availed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi since taking office.'

The second question was about the number of events Modi has attended after becoming prime minister.

In reply, the PMO provided a link to its website which shows the accumulated number of events attended by Modi in India and abroad surpasses 3,000.
