Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Jammu and Kashmir and is leading the 10th International Yoga Day celebrations at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre on the banks of Dal Lake.

He urged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily lives as it fosters strength, good health and wellness. "The world is looking at Yoga as a power for global good," he added at the event in Srinagar.

The event which was slated to begin at 6:30 am was delayed by early morning rainfall. Moderate to heavy rainfall has been reported from across the Valley, making it difficult to hold open-air yoga events, officials said.
