The Covid alert sounded by the Union government has led to "some confusion" in the BJP's Rajasthan unit.

Initially, the BJP said that it was suspending its 'Jan Aakrosh Yatra' against the Ashok Gehlot government in view of the Covid alert.

However, hours later, the party said that there had been some confusion, and 'Jan Aakrosh Sabhas', or public rallies, will continue to take place.

Days earlier, the Union government had written to the Congress party to either enforce Covid rules in its Bharat Jodo Yatra, or suspend the march.
