Conrad Sangma takes oath as Meghalaya CM for 2nd straight term

Conrad Sangma was sworn in as the chief minister of Meghalaya for a second straight term with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in attendance. Sangma's NPP emerged as the single largest party in the state elections with 26 votes and later staked claim to form a government with support from other parties. The ruling alliance now has 45 MLAs including 2 from BJP.
