Delhi: MLAs get salary hike in first pay revision in 12 years. Watch what legislators will be paid now

Delhi legislators have gotten a hike of nearly 67% in salary and allowances, according to reports.

The pay of the chief minister and ministers, speaker, deputy speaker, the chief whip, and leader of the opposition have been increased from the ₹72,000 to ₹170,000 per month. The salary and allowances of MLAs have been increased from ₹54,000 to ₹90,000 per month.

Delhi MLAs got a pay hike after 12 years, with the last revision in 2011.

The hike came into effect from 14 February when the President gave her assent, and a government notification was issued on 9 March. The development hit headlines on 13 March.
