Former AP CM Chandrababu Naidu named in FIRs filed over violence during his rally

TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh CM has been named in FIRs filed in connection with the violence that erupted during Chandrababu Naidu's rally in the state earlier this week, NDTV report said.

According to the news outlet, Naidu has been named in two FIRs with attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy charges.

Several workers of TDP and the ruling YSR Congress Party were injured in the clashes that broke out between members of the two parties on August 4. 

At least 20 policemen were also injured as stone, glass bottles and other objects were hurled at them

Incidents of arson were also reported.
