As nearly 18,000 Indian citizens are still living in Israel amid the country's massive war on Hamas, India has set up a control room in the external affairs ministry to monitor the situation in Palestine and Israel.
The control room will be monitoring the situation 24X7, Hindustan Times reported.
The development follows concerns about the safety of Indian citizens living in Israel and Palestine.
Meanwhile, the Indian embassy in Tel Aviv on Wednesday urged its nationals in Israel “to remain calm, vigilant,”. The Indian mission has also issued helpline numbers for its nationals urging them to register themselves with the embassy.

An official from ROI told PTI that “we are in touch (with them) and are trying to help all Indians but the situation on the ground constrains our options.”
