India's G20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant, in a conversation with the NDTV has revealed that nearly 200 hours of nonstop negotiations led to a joint communique from G20 leaders who held differing views on the bloc's stance regarding Russia's war on Ukraine.
Kant further explained that the declaration resulted from numerous rounds of discussions, including talks with developing economies to assess the economic implications of the conflict, as well as bilateral meetings with Russia and China.
He further added that the consensus on the matter was only reached late on Sept 8.
