TMC MP Mahua Moitra hit out at the BJP for suspending her in the last Lok Sabha session, saying they paid a very heavy price for throttling her voice.
Moitra slammed the ethics panel that had recommended her expulsion. She said of the five BJP members in the panel, four did not return to Lok Sabha, including the chairperson of the panel, BJP leader Vinod Sonkar.
"Much like Lord Krishna protected Droupadi, the people of Krishnanager have protected me," said Moitra.
The Krishnanager MP said that in the last one year, many people told her that she lost her Lok Sabha membership and her house. "But you know what I gained? I gained what [Congress leader Rahul Gandhi] said - the freedom from fear," said Moitra.
