Hundreds of supporters gathered outside Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh's house and stopped him from resigning amid ethnic violence in the state. Biren Singh was scheduled to meet the Governor on Friday but his convoy was stopped by a large crowd of women who also reportedly tore his resignation letter. The women took away the letter from two Manipur ministers who came out of the chief minister's house with it.

A video of the women tearing the letter has emerged on social media. A torn image of the resignation letter is also doing the rounds.
