CM aspirant and Karnataka Congress unit chief DK Shivakumar on Monday made the strongest pitch for the coveted post by saying that his aim was to deliver a win in state assembly polls which he did.
Shivakumar's remarks came while speaking to reporters before leaving for the national capital to meet AICC leadership for consultations before making a choice.
DK Shivakumar said, "It's my birthday today, I'll meet my family. Afterwards, I'll leave for Delhi. Under my leadership, we've 135 MLAs, all in one voice said-matter (to appoint CM) is to be left to the party's high command. My aim was to deliver Karnataka&I did it."
