Two days after NCP leader Ajit Pawar led a rebellion in the party and joined the BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra, all MLAs of the Congress party are set to hold a meeting.

Congress legislators on July 4 are likely to discuss staking claim to the post of Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly, as per reports.

Ajit Pawar earlier held the LoP post, and after his mutiny, the NCP appointed Sharad Pawar loyalist Jitendra Awhad to the post.
