Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Wednesday said that the Union Budget 2023-24 presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Parliament is not completely negative but failed to address some fundamental issues of the country.
"The Budget has some good things, I am not saying it is completely negative but there is no mention of MNREGA, unemployment and inflation in the country. There are still some fundamental questions that needed answers", Tharoor told the news agency ANI.
The FM presented Narendra Modi-led government's last Union Budget before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
