No relief for Hemant Soren from SC, asked to approach high court

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate, failed to get relief from Supreme Court.

Refusing to interfere with the arrest, the top court on February 2nd asked Soren to approach the Jharkhand High Court.

In his plea before the apex court, Soren has urged it to declare his arrest as unwarranted, arbitrary, and in violation of his fundamental rights.

Soren was arrested on January 31st arrested Soren after hours of questioning in the alleged land scam. The agency had earlier seized luxury cars and cash from his Delhi residence.

Soren has claimed that the ED found no evidence against him.
