Days after the fledgling alliance of Opposition parties decided to call itself INDIA, or Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mocked the name.

At a meeting of the BJP Parliamentary party on July 25, Modi cited names of the British colonial organisation East India Company, the terrorist group Indian Mujahideen, and the extremist group Popular Front of India.

Modi said that just having 'India' as the name does not mean anything, and people won't be misled by this tactic.
